men's cologne      Men's Cologne

This happened so long ago but every time I think about it, it brings a smile to my face. I was a curious, inquisitive 8 year old. My dad used men's cologne every day after shaving. It was kept in a spray bottle near the bathroom sink. I had watched him use it many times and wondered how it would be to use it. It was photo day at school and I wanted to look really good. I was dressed and ready and suddenly I thought that it would be perfect if I applied some men's cologne.

My parents were already downstairs getting breakfast ready so I sneaked into my parent’s bathroom. I found a spray bottle on the shelf and applied some on my face. My skin started burning badly. I didn’t know what to do. I thought that maybe cologne burns, and I went down for breakfast. My mom asked me why my face was so red. My face was on fire by then so I decided to tell her the truth. It seems she had put a bottle of mild acid for cleaning stains by the sink!!  We washed it off immediately, but my face remained red the whole day. I have a photo to remember it. So that was my first experience with men's cologne. Since then, I’ve become a lot more sensible!!
